BACH receives award for environmental sustainability efforts

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital was recently recognized for its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint in the global movement for environmental health. The hospital received the 2023 Partners for Change Award and 2023 Greening the OR Recognition Award as part of The Practice Green Health Environmental Excellence Awards Program coordinated through the Defense Health Agency and U.S. Army Medical Command.

Celebrations Mark Start of Two Navigation Ecosystem Sustainability Program Projects

Two milestone events were recently hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of the Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program (NESP). The first was held in the Rock Island District for a Fish Passage Project at Lock and Dam 22, near Hannibal, Missouri, and the second was in the St. Louis District at Lock and Dam 25 where a 1,200-foot lock is scheduled for construction.

Walter Reed recognized for sustainability efforts

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center received the Greenhealth Partner for Change Award from Practice Greenhealth, the nation's leading organization dedicated to environmental sustainability in health care. The award was presented during the CleanMed 2023 Conference, held May 23-25 in Pittsburgh.

Maintenance University trains 300 Airmen in joint field environment
